Random Things

Have you ever wondered why we humans, for some reasons become very speechless and out of breath when the things we most wanted to have suddenly become ours? or on the contrary why we humans find it uneasy to grasp the bad things in our lives?

I've thought of a possible reason why we go into a "shock mode" whenever extreme things happen in our lives. The reason is very simple, we're too overwhelmed. Our minds cannot grasp the fact that it happened.

Our brains are practically designed to analyze and at times over analyze the things around us and due to the unexpected turn of events our brain just get too stuck up with the thought that what we thought impossible became possible. Why am I saying these? Because I've just experienced going in and out of  "shock mode". It's funny how all i could think of is WOW! God is indeed thoughtful! I was praying to Him and was asking for something and after a day or two He made it happen and when it happened just this morning, I COULDN'T BELIEVE IT. I had to convince myself that this is what I prayed for and HE ANSWERED it. I can never forget how my brain refused to take hold of the reality that there are just things in life our human brains cannot comprehend because of the impossibility BUT with GOD all things are possible. So now, i'd just like to tell you/ share with you that no matter how many times our brain seemed to disagree with what's happening, JUST Go back and remember what God has promised you- what He has in store for you.

Early Wishlist

This year has been a very interesting year for me and it will soon come to close. It's the last week of November and Christmas is just around the corner, what do you want for Christmas? Well, I'll have mine enumerated(however, these are just material things i want for Christmas the other things i might have to keep from you hehe. Peace!) . *Inhale, Exhale*

Well Financial Provision summarizes everything. Here's just the breakdown of the things i would want to buy /would want to do. Not exactly in the same order.
      1. House and Lot.
      2. Super Show 3 VIP tickets. You have to be very specific. (however this has to be accomplished on or before December 1 I heard a lot of people are coming to see them here in Manila) -However, i want to follow God's will as always, if He wants me to be there I will be there. Proverbs 10:22
      3. LG GT540- I want to have this phone because it has WIFI and it's cheap - and CUTE.
      4. ITOUCH4 - Oh well, because i want to install/upload Bible and other books there
      5. MACBOOK- So Virus won't bother me. hehe
      6. Trip to America/Hongkong or uhm, South Korea :)
      7. Last, but not the least, I want to share whatever money i'll receive to those kids/people in the orphanage. I don't know why it just feels really nice to do so. I believe God blesses people because He wants them to become a blessing too. Oh, I want to visit an orphanage.

South Korea and North Korea

It's just this evening that i heard/ read about the bombing in South Korea. It stunned me and i was like, what just happened? I felt very sad for those who were hurt and I frankly prayed to God about the 2 countries. This blog isn't about who's at fault, i just want to encourage you to pray for both South and North Korea.

from someone's twitter: This is the pic of South Korea which is bombed by North Korea

Just a note :)

Most of the time we humans prefer to have everything instantly. We eat fast foods, enjoy eating instant noodles, some people want to be instant millionaires whereas some want to find love from dating sites on the internet.

But do we know what these might do to us?

Check out the ingredients for the instant noodles and or the food we eat at fast food restaurants. Preservatives/MSGs are predominantly used. These For which give a not so good effect to our body.

http://www.brighthub.com/health/diet-nutrition/articles/26394.aspx

Everything is permissible but not everything is beneficial.

But that's not my point.

We're very much engrossed with the fact that we can have things in an instant to the point that this cyber world/internet offers us instant love matches or even instant husband or wife and of course our favorite, ANSWERS to our assignments.

There's nothing wrong with having assignments done ahead of time and i personally benefited from this cyber world/internet/world wide web. It's just that there are things in our lives that need to be processed thoroughly and molded into something much of greater value but the cost of course is you have to be patient. Being patient means keeping up the faith (in God of course) and trusting His perfect time.

These things may be as follows:

Work - And yeah, i super duper realized what it means to be patient. :)

Studies - Don't worry 14 years is fast :) BELIEVE ME.

Love life? - GOD'S PERFECT TIMING.

I don't know what it is you're waiting for but if it's taking too long. Just think of what God has promised you.

Here's two :

Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

If he planned to prosper you and not to harm you then He planned for the BEST :)

Proverbs 23:18 There is surely a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off.

There's still hope, in every situation, in every disappointment there will always be hope. :)

Just remember :

Psalm 33: 4 For the word of the LORD is right and true; he is faithful in all he does.

weak or meek.

It has been a very interesting month for me since I last posted here on blogspot. I have no creative thought but I have learned a lot of things.

proverbs 10:22 “The blessing of the Lord brings wealth, and he adds no trouble to it.”

Recently, I got a job opportunity at a hospital. I thought the question (they ask on interview) “Are you willing to work on a straight shift” is just a question you ask to find out if the interviewees are willing to work for their company. Basically, I said yes and was trained for 2 days. The people/ employees/ my trainers there were all nice, they taught me all there is to know about the procedure of the job. Sometimes the job is “toxic” sometimes, not.

Truth is the verse helped me decide, I did not continue my application there.

james 5:16 therefore confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed.

I know how hard it is to choose between 2 difficult choices both for which will produce a harm that will inflict a lot of people after you do it or say it. However, we have to confess (james 5:16) it’s not just about what you’ll have after, it’s about following God’s commandment of loving one another and at the same time freeing yourself from the anger and pain it may cause you.

We’ve all (if not, some) been caught in a dilemma, whether choosing between two evils or choosing between the 2 “goods” according to the standard of the society today. However, being a Christian means you have to be able to choose what’s right according to what God said not according to the standard of this world.  It’s true that there’s no such thing as no choice ‘cause we always have. It’s just that we don’t find the last option an option.

But,

Romans 12:2 Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

We may differ with what we think is right but there’s one book that gives us the Basic Instructions Before Living Earth and Believers’ Instructions Before Living Earth. Get the Acronym to know what book I’m referring to.

Newton's 3rd law. = Ecclesiastes 3

I’ve always dreamed of a perfect life, a life where I have no problems whether financially or physically. If such exists I would have exchanged my life for that. A friend of mine posted a status that says, “when one area in your life is going your way, another part isn't. that's life.” I don’t know if it’s just me or I don’t totally agree on what she said. It’s like having you excel at and there’s one thing you see yourself not excelling at all.

The truths, I most of the time notice that if I experience happiness, sadness will just butt in and take the happy mood away. But I realized there’s a dedicated time for something (laughter or even crying) even Newton formulated (his 3rd law) a law that says, “To every action there is always an equal and opposite reaction: or the forces of two bodies on each other are always equal and are directed in opposite directions.”

So it just means that in every force/feeling/action there is an EQUAL or OPPOSITE REACTION.

For example, you’ve been given something really precious or something you’ve been “dying” to have what would be your reaction? Of course, you’d probably jump for joy or do cartwheel.

In some cases, the thing they wanted to have and was given to them is later on snatched, it produces opposite reaction. But that's how the way it goes cause there is a time for everything.

In life, there are times when we had to face trials and obstacles. I, for instance, am not a fan of waiting. Whenever I watch series, I’d just fast forward the scene and play the scene I’d like to see. But I remembered in life, there’s no such thing as fast forward or even rewind. In fact, Ecclesiastes 3 even said that there’s a time for weeping and laughing.

Ecclesiastes 3:4 a time to weep and a time to laugh,
a time to mourn and a time to dance,

I’ve imagined my life if there are no such thing as obstacles, failures (and comebacks) or even sadness, and i realized, that life, doesn’t make sense. And I most definitely will not grow. As a Christian, I learned that trials build me up; as much as I dislike them they help me grow.

James 1:2-4

Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

Just think about this, how can you say someone is strong? Of course, when she/he has successfully carried something really heavy, it’s the same way when we undergo trials and or problems in our life, we become strong cause we not only learn from them, we face them and through God’s grace we’re able to solve them in God’s time.

Hostage Taking Drama.

There has been a tragedy and according to my grandfather who watched the news there were 6 people who died (i don't know if Rolando Mendoza, the hostage taker is included on this). It's a very sad event and i know we are shocked and disappointed on how things turned out.

It was then I realized that there are things out of our control and despite the disappointment and the hostile feelings of some, we know that there's a God who'll judge each action we do, he's a JUST God. It's not through our cursing or through our feeling of anger that will get him back from the dead or bring back the hands of time. As far as i know he's already dead or if he's not then nevertheless the crime has been committed.

For the chinese, for the family of those chinese who were killed, I apologize for what our fellowmen has done, I can't deny he's a Filipino, we cannot and I don't have the right to disown him, Duibuqi.

For my fellow Filipino citizens let's stop dwelling on the past, it's done and as what i have said earlier, God will avenge.

Romans 12:19 (New International Version)

Do not take revenge, my friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay,"says the Lord.

Isaiah 43:18 (New International Version)

  "Forget the former things;
do not dwell on the past.

Test

We are continually tested. Areas in our life are being rated.

I doesn't sound that good. I mean, who would want pop quizzes right or quizzes itself ? but then i realized, it evaluates us. Sometimes, I (or we maybe) feel that it's OK to be OK or be contented when we've already surpassed an obstacle. But, i realized, it  shouldn't be about finding a place you are to be comfortable with, it's about finding a place where you'll continually grow.

Notice how your obstacles change. Notice how you physically grow.

When I think about my problems when i was a child, i thought about school (school works like assignments, seatworks, quizzes..) but as a grown up and a college graduate i have to find a job. As you see there's a big difference in what i think about before and now.

When i looked at my pictures before, all i could see is a child. Now, i can't really say I'm still that. As we grow and we mature we find and lose people or things along the way. I don't fully understand why till i found this :

Hebrews 12:1

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us.

We lose (things and )people cause it's what God has planned. If they come back, good, but we have to admit that what we had before's different than what we're going to have now. God uses people to help us grow, God uses people to test us. But we'll see later on how good, pleasing and perfect His will is.

Romans 12:2

Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Chances. Changes.

I have to wake up early tomorrow but i can't just say no to posting this. It seems like God is telling me to walk out of my comfort zone and meet new people- meet new group of friends. It feels as though God's giving me chances/opportunities to walk out from where i love to be in a one by one format. It feels unreal and weird since i have to start back to 0 . I know we, Christians need to grow and it means we also need to explore more of what's around us. It just means constant adjustment to changes and with that we all know change is constant.

Insecurity.

I've been reading notes and blogs and I realized why not create a fresh blog site whereas people could know my thoughts about things and write what I feel. I'm feeling a bit biased about having 2 blog sites. It feels like i have two persona(s). However, I've decided to let this site be open to everyone. To let this be a site where people could see (read) through me.

We all felt the trouble of INSECURITY.

When I was in High School not many of my batch mates play guitar, let's say approximately 1/4 of our batch knows how to play the guitar and I (before) considered it a special talent. I find the 1/4 of our batch very cool  and from then on I realized I want to learn how to play the guitar. I had very hard fingers back then, that's why it was so hard for me to get what they were teaching me. Now, for the record, I know how to play the guitar, my hard fingers soften cause I had love and determination to accompany me

Being a high school student (before), I saw predominance when it comes to feeling we want to belong to the in crowd or at least categorize ourselves as those with higher values. I guess that's why High School musical was created, to depict what it feels like to be in High School. There were cute puppy loves and endless crushes I hear and experienced but back then just like what some elders predicted they didn't go well for me. I had crushes.

I had my fair share of insecurities as well, an example is I found out my crush likes my friend. It was really heartbreaking, 2 thoughts just keep on repeating inside my head, first is, "Why her? Why of all the people her?" second is, "I can't compete with her, she will win". Because of these 2, I felt how I'm not good enough for my crush and how little I am towards my friend. Well, it's funny cause here are the Thought busters people must ponder on (if you feel or felt this way):

  • "Why her? Why of all the people her?"   - Why not her? I mean, let's know for a fact that he likes her and you can't just tell him, "Pick me, Pick me" A reminder for all the girls, we are all precious, we are unique and God loves us so much he has already planned our love story. Plus, I have to add expecting more from your guy friend doesn't mean they'll feel the same way. There may be signs he likes you but it's best if he tells it to you directly. Also, it's just now i realized I'd want to meet a guy who'd help me in my walk with Christ. Someone who'd study the Bible with me and someone who'd love God above all else.
  • "I can't compete with her, she will win" -If we think it's all about competing to win and apparently you've just lost, does your friendship with your friend and him would end there? if she's all he wants then respect him. Besides when you get blinded by what he sees, you see what you don't have, you've lost sight to what you have. I know it sounds redundant but if we count our blessings, we'd find contentment. We wouldn't have to lose what we already have.

God created us differently but in HIS own image and likeness, we differ in so many ways but as a Christian and as a human being, we all have our own beauty it doesn't matter if someone has this or that what matters is what you have that God gave you. He's already planned our love story and we're all here for God. I know it defies "I was born for you" (to someone here on earth) but it's true. We're all here for God, to be the stewards of His creations.
